Construction:

All molds are 100% hand laid vinylester construction with HK Research Hybrid Vinylester Tooling Gelcoat

Wood structural reinforcement where needed is 7 ply plywood (no particle board is ever used)

 

Bowl Construction:

In addition to a ¾ oz skin coat, there are 6 layers of 1-1/2 oz mat and an overlapping layer of 10 oz cloth to finish. With a little care in handling, that will produce a long lasting tool.

 

I usually treat the new molds with  Mold Sealer and Mold release Interface.  I can skip this part of the process for a customer who prefers to use their own releasing system.
